On channels with 1,000 to 5,000 subscribers, the median post is viewed by 31.4% of them. On channels above 500,000 it is 3.3%. Every step up the size ladder roughly halves the share: 15.8% at 5k to 20k, 9.1% at 20k to 100k, 6.0% at 100k to 500k.
At the band median, a 500,000-subscriber channel gets about 16,300 views per post. Anyone buying a post on subscriber count is paying for the 97% who will not see it. Price on views instead, and read the channel’s own view counter rather than a screenshot.
Of the channels with a known subscriber count, 85.7% have fewer than 1,000. Roughly 7,900 of 3.2 million pass 100,000. The large channels that fill advertising lists are about a quarter of one percent of the network.
Russian accounts for 27.0% of sampled channels, English 12.1%, Arabic 6.0% and Persian 5.6%. Below those four, automatic detection on short channel descriptions starts confusing related languages, so we do not rank them.

Telegram’s view counter counts every view of a post, including views through forwards and web previews by people who are not subscribers, so reach here can overstate the share of subscribers who saw a post, most of all on channels whose posts travel. In the other direction, subscriber counts inflated by inactive or bought accounts pull reach down. Bands below 100,000 subscribers are sample estimates. Channels under 1,000 subscribers are outside the reach figures; the catalogue sets that floor. Language is detected automatically from short descriptions, which is reliable for the four languages shown and not for the long tail.
