# One idea, six platforms

Fill in the top row and work down. The idea stays the same; the shape changes
per platform. Anything cross-posted unchanged reads as cross-posted.

## The idea

| Field | Your answer |
|---|---|
| The insight in one sentence | |
| Who it is for | |
| The number or proof | |
| What they should do differently | |

---

## The six adaptations

### 1. LinkedIn long-form post (150-300 words)

```
[Line 1: the claim, on its own. This is what shows above the fold.]
[Line 2-3: the context. Who has this problem and why it persists.]
[Line 4-6: the number or the story. Concrete beats clever.]
[Line 7-8: what to do differently.]
[Final line: a question, so the comment section has somewhere to go.]
```

Ship at 08:00-10:00 local. No external link in the post body; put it in the
first comment.

### 2. X thread (5 tweets)

```
1/ [The claim. Must stand alone as a tweet - most people read only this one.]
2/ [Why the obvious approach fails.]
3/ [The number or the example.]
4/ [The alternative, concretely.]
5/ [The takeaway, plus one link.]
```

Ship at 11:00-13:00. One hashtag maximum, usually zero.

### 3. Short video, 60 seconds (TikTok and Reels)

| Seconds | What happens |
|---|---|
| 0-3 | The claim, spoken. No intro, no logo, no "hey guys" |
| 3-15 | Why the usual way fails |
| 15-40 | The number or the demo |
| 40-55 | What to do instead |
| 55-60 | One line of call to action |

Vertical, captions burned in, first frame readable with sound off.

### 4. Instagram quote card

One sentence, large type, high contrast. The insight only, no explanation. The
caption carries the argument; the card carries the hook.

### 5. YouTube Short (30 seconds)

The 60-second cut, tightened. Drop the "why the usual way fails" section
entirely and go straight from claim to proof to action.

### 6. Newsletter section (200 words)

The long-form post with the parts you cut for length put back in. This is the
only format where nuance survives, so use it for the caveats.

## Rules

- **Never cross-post verbatim.** Each platform's audience can tell, and the
  algorithms can too.
- **Write the LinkedIn version first** if you sell B2B. It forces the argument
  into complete sentences, and every other format is a compression of it.
- **Write the video version first** if you sell consumer. It forces a hook.
- **One idea per week is enough.** Six good adaptations beat six ideas half-made.
